Search Basics

Finding Images -- ones you can use with Fair Use

Finding Audio & Video

Using Advanced Search features of Google to search for types of files -- add things like "filetype:swf" to your search to find all the Shockwave mini-videos on the topic around the web. If you try "earth filetype:swf" you will get links to sites that have little animated videos about the movement of the Earth. "filetype:ppt" gets all sorts of PowerPoint slides that you never knew existed!
